Bilstein 5160 Series

The Bilstein 5160 Series Remote Reservoir shocks are the next step up from the 5100 Series. They make use of the vehicle's factory mounting points and are a direct-fit for each vehicle application which avoids the necessary fabrication typically required for being able to run a high performance reservoir shock. Like the Bilstein 5100 series, these too are monotube shocks with a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. The remote reservoir allows for increased cooling capacity and heat dissipation, and because the free-floating dividing piston is located in the reservoir, it allows for increased shock travel.
